Josiah Rogerson wrote of his death: [Nov. 12] "Alfred Bloomfield Bridge [was] a fine young man that [James Bleak] emigrated from his Whitechapel Branch in London; a baker, tall and well formed for life, about 25 years of age; but he succumbed here [at Three Crossings] through starvation and exhaustion. So callous had our feelings become to death, that while eating our bite of supper around the camp fire–and it was not yet sun down, mother requested us to look at Brother Bridge, and see if he was alive. He was only a few feet from our fire, lying on the ground in his robe and some blankets, which we parted, and on looking at his face, saw that his eyes were glazing in death, of which we apprised mother and resumed our supper. Here old John Ollerton died and was buried with Brother Bridge and thirteen others the next morning, so Brother Bleak informed us at the last October conference in this city."

Wilson, Baby - (6 mos.), born in United States mother began journey with Martin company but left it to travel ahead with Babbitt's wagons which was later massacred. Baby killed on Aug. 25, 1856, by Indians, 9 miles west of Prairie Creek, Neb., buried by Willie company when passing massacre site, reburied by Martin company when passing site.

Wilson, Elizabeth Ollerton - (24), born in England Elizabeth's parents, John and Alice Dandy Ollerton, were also in the company. They both died with the Martin handcart company trek in November. Elizabeth's sister, Alice, also died the day after reaching Salt Lake City. Elizabeth gave birth to a baby girl aboard the ship Horizon. The baby was named Nancy Horizon Wilson. She lived three weeks and was buried at sea.
